It’s been a while since I’ve shared something that feels a little less “blog” and a little more behind-the-scenes — but this one holds a special place in my heart
I’m excited to share my interview with SD Voyager, where I was featured in their Hidden Gems series — a collection that highlights local creatives, entrepreneurs, and voices shaping the San Diego community.
The full feature is now live, and you can read it here.
In the conversation, I opened up about the realities of balancing creativity, content, and consistency — the often-unseen side of building something meaningful from the ground up.
Here’s a sneak preview:
Q: Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
A: No, it hasn’t, even though my Instagram feed says otherwise!
One of the biggest challenges I had to overcome is learning how to manage every single thing as best as I can – from typing up SEO-friendly blog posts to the countless meetings with potential collaborators to shooting content at 4 am in the morning. As someone who is doing most things solo for now, it can become very time-consuming.
I remember coming home late at night after attending a Fashion Week after party and I’d still be awake till 4 am because I was typing out a new blog post while editing photos, updating my website, and posting content on social media. It’s a lot of hard work but I enjoy every bit of it.
